DIRECT FINANCING OF SELF EMPLOYMENT SCHEMES FOR TARGET GROUPS, IN COLLABORATION WITH NATIONAL LEVEL FINANCE & DEV. CORPORATIONS, OF GOVT. OF INDIA VIZ; NSFDC,NBCFDC & NSKFDC NEW DELHI

Loan Applications, on prescribed Application Form (available free of cost ...Click here to download Loan Application Form) are invited from the eligible and persons belong to Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes and Safai Karamcharis categories, who are permanent Residents of J&K State , living below double the poverty line i.e. having annual family income below Rs.40000/-p.a for Rural and Rs.55000/- p.a. for Urban Areas (in case of Safai Karamcharis / Scavengers category there is no income criteria), and are not defaulters with any financial Institution, may apply for Loan Assistance, to establish the income generating units of the types mentioned in the notification ... The selected candidates have to execute the necessary documents as provided under the scheme for availing the loan assistance.

The complete loan application alongwith the attested copies of the following documents should reach in the office of District Manager Concerned of the corporation within ‘21’days from the date of publication of this notice.

1. Permanent Resident Certificate.
2. Caste Certificates.
3. Income Certificate.
4. Valid Driving License (in case of vehicles) duly issued by the competent Transport Authority with necessary endorsement.
5. Attested copy of Ration Card
6. Two Self Addressed envelopes.
 

The documents at S.No, 1,2 & 3 are not separately required for the schemes costing upto Rs.0.50 lac. The certificates to be given by the Tehsildar concerned, at Part-C of the Application Form shall be acceptable for the said documents.

Modification in the financing criteria of Handicapped Beneficiaries

 

1.

The delegation of authority to sanction loan by SCA costing Rs.1.00 Lakh stands enhanced to Rs.1.50 Lakhs.

2.

The income limit has raised to Rs.2,00,000/- p.a. and Rs.1,60,000/- p.a in urban and rural areas respectively

3.

The applicant should have relevant experience in the applied trade. The selected beneficiaries shall provide/ execute collateral security/  mortgage of immovable property (free from all encumbrances) equivalent to the value of the loan amount and up to the loan amount of Rs.1 Lakh the beneficiary has to provide guarantee of two local persons having sound financial positions acceptable to the corporation as an alternative of the mortgage.

The complete loan application with attested copies of the following documents should reach in the district office concerned of the corporation located in each district within 21 days from the date of the publication of this notice:

  1. State Subject Certificate (issued by the competent revenue authority)
  2. Caste Certificate (issued by the competent revenue authority)
  3. Income Certificate (issued by the competent revenue authority)
  4. Valid Driving License (incase of vehicles) issued by the competent transport authority with PSV endorsement.
  5. Attested copy of Ration Card
  6. Two Self addressed envelopes

The documents of Sr. No. 1, 2 & 3 are not required for MSY/ AMSY/ MCF Schemes.

Registration of Manual Scavengers and their dependents up to 30/04/2007

The government of India has decided to introduce a "Self Employment Scheme" for Rehabilitation of Manual Scavenger and their Dependents.

A Scavenger means one who is partially or wholly engaged in the obnoxious and inhuman occupation of manually removing night soil and filth.

Object of the scheme is to assist the remaining scavengers, liberate then from their existing occupation and Rehabilitate them in dignified alternative occupations/ trades in a time bound manner by March '2009.

The Jammu & Kashmir SCs, STs & BCs Development Corporation is the nodal agency in the state of Jammu & Kashmir for rehabilitation of Scavengers and their dependents.

The components of the scheme are as under:

I. Skill Dev/ Vocational Training program:

The need based skill dev training upto one year duration shall be arrange for the Scavengers/ their dependents. The cost of training shall be borne by the Corporation upto a maximum of Rs.14,000/- per beneficiary.

II. Loans for Establishment of alternative units/ Trades

All the agencies of the Urban Development Department, Municipal, Local Bodies, Rural Development Department, Revenue Department are also requested to contribute in this noble cause and arrange to furnish the list manual scavengers who are working in their area of operation with their profile such as, name, sex, age, father's name, address, detail particulars of individual dependent educational qualification, other qualification, option for alternative trade and option for training, to this corporation, head office, Jammu or the district offices located in each district of the state.

All the members of the manual Scavengers community are requested to register themselves with the corporation, before 30.04.2007, to avail benefits of the scheme of the Government of India.
